Back to the blogosphere, it is! I have been so absent this week, and I don’t even know why. School wasn’t overly crazy, but I really just didn’t have much to say. However, I am glad to share that my body felt great this week! I’m trying to lay off the beer and I’m physically feeling better after cutting down on it.
Monday: 3.33 miles, 31:00. Was going to stop at 3 even, but I was feeling so good that I just kept going for a little longer. I had a cramp for most of the run, but made it through without walking or slowing down too much. (Knee felt 75%)
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: 10 min (20,0000 m or 2,000 m (I forgot)) rowing machine, leg weights, 7 minutes lateral elliptical. I was hoping to do more on the elliptical but my legs were cramping up pretty badly. I’ve been adding more weights into my circuit and can really feel the difference! I love the rowing machine as well, but my hands are pretty blistered from it.
Thursday: 4 mi, 38:02. Stopped to stretch once, but I killed last week’s long run time. (Knee felt 80%)
Friday: 30:00 intervals on the elliptical, leg + ab weights
Saturday: 3 mi before work. We are trying to get a Saturday morning fun run group together. This was my first run with snow on the ground. I need to get on getting some shoes with better traction!
Sunday: I have 6 miles on the docket today. I’m really looking forward to it! I’m waiting a little longer to go out, I’m hoping the snow on the ground will melt a little!
Weekly miles: 16.33
Miles this training cycle: 35.43
My knee/leg hasn’t felt great this week. I haven’t been as good about foam rolling as I should be. I applied some more KT tape which has helped, and I’m trying to get back to my normal foam rolling routine. I also did trigger point at work yesterday which felt so good!
I’m glad I did my long run yesterday, since we got our first real snow overnight! I foam rolled for pretty much the first time ever this week, and I was amazed how much better I felt after. (I was also amazed how much it hurt!)

I definitely didn’t know how much it would hurt until I tried it. I’ve actually almost been in tears a couple of times this week thanks to a good knot in my IT Band. However, it’s so helpful that it’s hard to not do it!

Thanks for telling me! (And I appreciate you want to comment. 🙂 ) I tried messing with my settings, so hopefully it will work now? I didn’t realize I was being that person and had captcha on….

I can’t believe there is already snow on the ground near you! Its gotten pretty cold here and I saw a few flurries the other day, but I’m hoping we have a few more weeks before there is any real snow…

It’s crazy how quick it’s happened! We don’t have a whole lot on the ground, but this is the fifth day in a row I’ve woken up to snow on my car. Hopefully you’ll get away without any for a while longer!
